As the second course for my Professional Design Practice, we attended the Craft Pottery in Finnieston to learn ceramic painting!
We booked a two hour session and each painted one ceramic of our choice. I chose a pasta bowl!

I chose a spiderweb design for the inner area of the bowl, and painted some small spiders on the outer edges. In my time of Applied Arts, I always struggled with ceramics. Me and this medium have never worked well together and I can never figure out why. So I chose this course to try easing myself back into the ceramics craft.
The final bowl after firing was actually really good, which was a pleasant surprise! The colours came out really well with little to no transparent marks of colour - it all turned out the perfect opaque tones I was looking for.
